An ICT Infrastructure Audit is a comprehensive review of your school's technology setup, covering security and teaching/learning set up. It's designed to ensure your ICT infrastructure is safe, effective for learning, and differentiated in it’s performance for each group of learners across your school.
An audit helps identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement. It ensures your school's technology supports a safe and engaging learning environment and aligns with best practices for ICT management. It also “nudges” both students and teachers to make smart choices when using ICT at your school.
The audit typically includes:
= Network security and infrastructure
= Software licensing and compliance, including Google Workspace Education Plus (free from MoE).
= Data security and privacy protocols
= Internet safety measures
= Integration of technology into the curriculum
The Learning audit carefully examines how well your Google domain is set up to meet the learning needs of the many different groups of learners at your school.
In most schools we find that there is a “one size fits all” approach which can be highly problematic in achieving the goals that many schools want to achieve. Our approach ensures a high degree of differentiation so that everyone is working in ways that are appropriate to their age and stage of learning.
The duration of the audit depends on the size and complexity of your school's infrastructure. A typical audit might take between one to two weeks, including data collection, analysis, and report generation. It culminates with a de briefing hui with your leadership team.
There will be no disruption. Most data collection can be done remotely or outside of school hours. Any nn-site visits will be scheduled at a convenient time to avoid impacting teaching and learning activities.
You will receive a detailed report outlining our findings, including strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations. The report will also prioritise areas needing immediate attention and provide a roadmap for future improvements. For the vast majority of schools, there is no cost to remedy the most common areas that need optimising.
