Success is cheaper than failure, however you measure it!

No doubt, we will all have had an experience where we made a poor purchasing decision (eg a shonky car) and ended up paying for this in multiple ways! In the example of a bad choice of car, we would have had to spend lots of extra money fixing it, we would have spent lots of time going back and forth to the garage, and we would have experienced lots of stress as we couldn’t be sure that we could rely on the car to get us to our destination! Wishing we had maybe spent a little more money (on a better car) to save on stress and time is not a nice feeling to carry around!

Time, Money. stress

It’s even worse for our many, precious kaiako who are already time-poor and stress-rich! We spend way more time at school (or thinking about being at school) than we do driving our cars - and, as we all know, a poor decision in how we plan and/or deliver a Learning Experience can cost us dearly, in terms of:

  • Poor learning outcomes for ākonga

  • Stressful, difficult-to-manage classroom climates

  • Extra time spent in recovering the situation

  • Challenging student behaviours

  • Difficult kōrero with SLT and/or whanau members

  • Damaged relationships with ākonga

The good news is that it has never been easier to plan, create and deliver better learning experiences in less time and with less stress.

Breaking the link between the enhanced student outcomes that we do want and the extra teacher workload that we don’t want is one of the many reasons I love my work!

Feel free to contact me to learn more about this!
